Eligibility Check
Ensure you meet the basic criteria: graduation from a high school equivalent to a Turkish high school (for Associate/Undergraduate) or possession of the necessary higher education diplomas (for Master’s/PhD).
Invalid applications will be handled according to the Council of Higher Education Procedures.
Document Preparation
Gather electronic copies of your required documents.
Crucial: All documents must be in Turkish or English. If they are not, they must be translated and certified by an official institution or notary.
Documents without an electronic verification code, wet signature, or seal will be rejected.

1. Acceptance
Applications are evaluated by the relevant School/Vocational School and the Directorate of International Relations.
If accepted, you will be sent a “Letter of Acceptance.”
2. Financial Obligation
You must pay the tuition fee for the first semester in full before you are permitted to register.
3. Legal & Document Finalization
Student Visa: If you do not have legal rights to stay in Türkiye, you must apply for a “Student Visa” at the nearest Turkish Embassy using your Letter of Acceptance.
Equivalence/Recognition:
High School: For Turkish citizens, you need an Equivalence Certificate from the R.T. Ministry of National Education (or apostille/approved document) for your high school diploma to register for Associate/Undergraduate programs.
Higher Education: For Graduate and PhD programs, you need a Certificate of Recognition from the Council of Higher Education for your prior degrees earned abroad. PhD programs with clinical applications require a Certificate of Equivalence.
Financial Security: You must provide documentation proving you have sufficient financial security to cover tuition and living expenses for at least the normal duration of study.
Final Submission: You must present the original or authenticated copies of all documents submitted during the application, plus any other documents mandated by Turkish state institutions.
1. Programs Taught in English 🇬🇧
You must demonstrate proficiency in English by either passing the Atılım University English Proficiency Exam or by submitting a valid and recognized national or international proficiency certificate.
Note: The minimum required scores and accepted exams are determined by the University’s School of Foreign Languages Directive.
If you fail the exam or cannot provide a valid certificate, you will be registered in the Preparatory School (Prep).
2. Programs Taught in Turkish 🇹🇷
You must present a TÖMER document (Turkish Teaching Center Certificate).
This document must show that you score at least C1 regarding your proficiency in the Turkish language.
