As a member of a family proud of serving for education, I dreamed of establishing a university which
provides quality education, produces science and technology, conducts research and enlightens and
contributes to the future of our country. Leaving 22 years behind with achievements despite challenges,
Atılım University will continue conducting its activities in line with the same purpose and target.
Although the number of universities has been on the rise in Turkey recently, current conditions show
that the need for quality universities will prevail both today and in the future. A university should be
able to interpret contemporary world, its environment and country, and enlighten the public with its
global vision. Turkey has leadership potential in the region thanks to the quantity and quality of its labor
force and underground and overground wealth. Responsibility of universities in the development and
progress of our country in every condition and era is to attach importance to scientific and technological
improvement.

Projects based on university-industry collaboration must be given utmost importance in order to create
products with high added value by supporting technological developments and industries with scientific
wealth generated at our University.
The quantity and quality of the laboratories and research centers of our University are source of proud for
us and our valuable academicians are able to carry out their studies in these research sites effectively.
Atılım University has proven its quality by involving in international rankings, based on various criteria
notably research studies, in the last three years. Atılım University ranks among the top four Turkish
foundation universities. In 2017, we ranked among the top 100 universities in the world in THE Young
University Rankings. In addition, we managed to become one of the top two Turkish universities by ranking
in 301-400 range in THE Physical Sciences rankings. Managing to be involved in Global Universities

Ranking by U.S. News in 2017 along with other 38 Turkish Universities, Atılım University ranked 87 in
mathematics field and became the only Turkish University in this field. Additionally, with international

students from 58 countries, our University ranks 332 among 500 big service exporters and 7 among
Turkish foundation universities in 2017.
Atılım will continue serving our country with its cultural, social and scientific values, all internal and
external stakeholders including students, graduates, academic and administrative staff, technological
opportunities and nature-friendly campus without compromising from its objectives regarding education
and research.
