Since its foundation in 1996, Atılım University has both strengthened its substructure and made a huge
progress by taking a leading role in the fields of education and research. In various international rankings,
our university has managed to rank among the top 4 Turkish foundation universities, top 1000 universities

around the world and top 150 universities in emerging countries. Atılım University advanced to 13 place

from 26 within two years in “Entrepreneur and Innovative Universities Ranking” prepared by the Ministry
of Science, Industry and Technology.
We all know that the world is developing and changing at a frightening pace. Globalization and competition
increase day by day. In such circumstances, our fundamental duty is to carry the University one step
further being hungry for success all the time. Atılım University is determined to become a prestigious
research institution beyond giving quality education. In this respect, the University urges both students
and instructors to take part in research activities at its laboratories, research centers, Technology Transfer
Office and Incubation Center. Rapidly developing and increasing master’s and PhD programs will advance
the research outputs of our University which will spread on effort to become a world university in line with
our internationalization target.
Moreover, Atılım University is also in the pursuit of progress in undergraduate education. Following the
foundation of the School of Health Sciences in 2017, we have received all necessary permissions for
the establishment of the School of Medicine this year. Atılım projects to admit students in the School of
Medicine in 2019-2020 academic year. In this context, it is one of our most important targets to transfer
fast-growing technology and health research to our University and create a strong and rich research
substructure.
Atılım University will strive to take its rightful place in the international arena with publication and
initiation of the Strategic Plan covering 2018-2023. We, all members of Atılım University, will collaborate
in order to sustain our vision: to always rank in top 10 in Turkey and top 500 in the world.
