Senior students of the Department of Automotive
Engineering participated in Formula Hybrid Car
Race organized in the United States between 27-30
April 2015 and were granted the Best Design Award
in Industrial Design field with the automobile design
and manufactured by the students themselves. Our
team, including Prof. Demir Bayka and Res. Asst.
Ayça Göçmen
ranked 9th in general classification of the races
organized by SAE and IEEE at Motor Speedway
track in New Hampshire, Loudon.

Our team led by Prof. Demir Bayka, the Chairperson
of the Department of Automotive Engineering,

ranked 3 in the Formula Hybrid Car Race
organized in the United States.
28 teams, including 4 Indian, 2 Canadian, 1 Turkish
and 21 American teams, competed in the race held
by SAE and IEEE at Motor Speedway Race Track in
New Hampshire, Loudon.

The top three teams are:
1. Victoria Univ. CANADA
2. Milwaukee School of Engineering USA
3. Atılım University TURKEY Ankara
