RECOGNITION & EQUIVALENCY

There are determinations associated with graduated degrees; Equivalency is a process of recognition foreign diplomas taken from the higher education institutions abroad by the Council of Higher Education. Recognition is a formal acknowledgement by the Council of Higher Educaiton of the value of a foreign educational qualification with a view to access to educational activities but the document that does not qualify as an equivalence document. Students have to collect required documents, to apply according to the procedures and to follow application process by himself.

High School Diploma Equivalency & Undergraduate Students

 

Equivalence is an official document indicating that your high school diploma is equivalent to Turkish high school system and you are available to begin your higher education in Turkey. Acquisition of high school diploma equivalency is obligatory to complete your registration. This document is issued by the Provincial Directorate of National Education of Ankara. Students have to collect required documents, to apply according to the procedures and to follow application process by himself.

VISA AND RESIDENCE PERMITS INFORMATIONS

Dear Prospective Students,

 

When you are accepted to Atılım University you will receive a conditional acceptance letter with which you can apply for a visa in your country to come to Turkey. When you arrive in Turkey to begin your higher education, you will need a residence permit that has a crucial role of a study and allows you to stay for the full duration of your study programme in Turkey. In this sense, all international students from countries outside of Turkey need to have a residence permit to study in Turkey according to the Turkish Migration Regulations.

 

The Directorate of Student Affairs’ staff of Atılım University will apply for the residence permit on your behalf. In this regard, international students must collect and bring the required documents to the Directorate of Student Affairs of Atılım University as soon as possible to receive residence permit card on time.

SETTING UP BANK ACCOUNT 

Public banks and private banks to provide you with full foreign currencies and banking services in Turkey, including to open deposits accounts, transactions for debit cards and credit cards as well fast money transfer to any bank in the world. You will be able to process your banking transactions via internet banking or mobile banking options, both of which are designed to serve in English language as well other languages.

You will be requested to provide the following documentation to open a bank account as a student in Turkey;

 

  • Orginal passport with the copy of it
  • Resident permit card with temporary foreign citizenship number
  • Accomodation document with address where you live

 

HES CODE

During controlled social life conditions HES (Hayat Eve Sığar – Life Fits Into Home) code is implemented by the Ministry of Health in order to helps you safely share your Covid-19 risk status with institutions and individuals for activities like transportation or visit.

 

You can get HES code;

 

  • via Hayat Eve Sığar App (IOS and Android),
  • via SMS to 2023;
    • Write HES and National ID Number, last four digits of National ID serial code and days of sharing (number of days), respectively and with spaces between asked information) and send SMS to 2023,
    • Persons who have Turkish Republic Blue Card ID or whose Turkish Republic identification number starts with 97, 98, 99: Type HES, your Turkish Republic identification number, year of birth, and sharing time (in days). Leave a space between each item. Send an SMS to 2023.
    • Persons who do not have a Turkish Republic or foreign identification number starting with 97, 98, 99: Type HES, your nationality, passport serial number, year of birth, and last name. Leave a space between each item. Send an SMS to 2023.
